Heatizon took the SnowMeltz mat and made it into a quick and easy way to add heat to your driveway, sidewalk or other exterior surfaces. All SnowMeltz kits come with an automatic moisture and temperature sensor, panel if needed, and jumpers to protect the cable in concrete (if so desired).
Here’s a couple of tips prior to ordering your SnowMeltz kits:
- Order a kit that is SMALLER than the area you are trying to heat. Because of spacing between mats/runs and the perimeter, a smaller system will install easier and quicker.
EXAMPLE: You measure an area of 200 square feet, order a 185 or 175 square foot kit. - Once you’ve decided on a kit, make sure you have enough power for that kit! If you have questions about the power consumption on a particular kit, please call us: 888-239-1232.

These kits use either a single 30 or 40 amp 240 volt circuit, sizes range from from 10 to 185 square feet. 110 to 185 are dual mat configurations, 10 to 130 are single mat configurations.

Large SnowMeltz – Dual Circuit Kits
The large SnowMeltz kits can handle dual 30-amp, 240 volt loads, (using either two 30 amp or 40 amp breakers) giving a size range of 200 to 380 square feet, using either 2 or 4 mats per kit.

Jumbo SnowMeltz – 2-4 Circuit Kits
Jumbo SnowMeltz kits, the largest of the series, range from 410 to 1040 square feet and come with an activator and contactor panel to handle all of the electrical loads from all the mats. Kits use 2 to 4 – 40 or 50 amp 240 volt breakers.
