The SnowMeltz Mats 208V/37W-240V/50W are perfect for when needing to expand an existing SnowMeltz system, or for custom projects where individual mats need to be either 208 or 240 voltages are required.
The SnowMeltz Mats 208V/37W-240V/50W are designed to run at either 208 volts generating 37 watts or 240 volts generating 50 watts when embedded in asphalt, concrete or a sand bed under pavers. Mats are available in square footages from 15 to 110 square feet. Spacing may vary from each mat. Mats be used with any of the Heatizon contactor or relay panels and any line-voltage activator. The 50-watt per square foot models are usually used in commercial projects where higher heat output is needed for crucial access. In most residential settings 37-watt per square foot models are sufficient to melt snow and ice on most outside surfaces.
Installation is quick and easy due to the simple roll out and cut/turn method to cover the space. Purchasing a mat that is 5-10% smaller than the area to be heated is the best approach. Roll out the mat and cut the binding strips (not the heating element) to turn, or flip the mat to go in another direction. Embed the entire system, once the substrate is dry, make the final electrical connections.
